At Endeavour Academy, we believe that positive behaviour helps children feel safe, happy and ready to learn. Our Behaviour Curriculum, The Endeavour Way, supports pupils to develop good habits, strong relationships and positive attitudes that help them succeed both in school and in life.

At Endeavour, behaviour is taught explicitly, in the same way as all areas of learning. Clear expectations, adult modelling and consistent practice support pupils in developing the behaviours they need to feel confident, secure and ready to learn.

Our Behaviour Expectations

We teach all pupils three clear behaviour expectations that guide how we behave across school:

  • Be Respectful – treating others with kindness, fairness and good manners
  • Be Responsible – taking ownership of choices, routines and actions
  • Be Safe – keeping ourselves and others safe at all times

These expectations give children a shared understanding of what positive behaviour looks like and help create a calm and caring school environment.

How We Support Children

We recognise that every child is different, and we take a supportive and inclusive approach to help all pupils succeed. Children are supported through:

  • Clear routines and consistent expectations
  • Adults modelling positive behaviour
  • Regular opportunities to practise good behaviour
  • Positive praise and recognition
  • Calm and fair responses from all staff

Developing Character for Life

Our approach to behaviour helps children develop important life skills such as respect, resilience, responsibility and confidence. As pupils practise these behaviours over time, they become habits that positively shape how they feel about themselves and how others perceive them, becoming part of daily school life and contributing to a calm, purposeful environment where everyone can succeed.

By the time pupils leave Endeavour, they are well prepared to manage themselves, work positively with others and contribute responsibly to their communities.
