At Endeavour Academy, we believe that children’s personal development is just as important as their academic learning. Our Personal Development Curriculum, Endeavour Me, supports pupils to grow into confident, resilient and thoughtful individuals who are well prepared for life beyond primary school.
Personal development at Endeavour is not taught in isolation. It is carefully planned and woven through school life, ensuring that pupils develop strong character, positive values and a clear understanding of their role within the school and wider community.
What We Want for Our Pupils

Our Four Key Personal Development Areas
Our Personal Development Curriculum is organised around four key strands:
- Safe and Well: Helping pupils understand how to look after their physical and mental wellbeing, build healthy relationships and stay safe both online and in the wider world.
- Citizens: Supporting pupils to develop an understanding of British Values, diversity, fairness and community. Pupils learn how their choices and actions impact others and how to contribute positively to society.
- Futures: Developing transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem‑solving and resilience to help pupils prepare for future learning, careers and opportunities.
- Enrich: Providing a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom, including visits, clubs, leadership opportunities and performances that broaden horizons and build confidence.
Building Character Through School Life
Our Personal Development Curriculum is closely linked to our CORE values of Commitment, Opportunity, Resilience and Excellence. These values guide how pupils learn, behave and grow at Endeavour. Through everyday experiences, leadership opportunities, enrichment activities and our behaviour curriculum, pupils are supported to put these values into practice and develop strong character.
By the time pupils leave Endeavour Academy, they are confident, respectful and responsible young people who understand themselves, value others and are ready for the next stage of their education and beyond.
